About The Author
Fred Fishburne, as a youth growing up in the 50's and 60's served as an acolyte and crucifer in the Episcopal Church in Eutaw, Alabama through high school. Once in college at Livingston University, which became the University of West Alabama, Fred stepped away from the Lord until 1980. After committing his life to Jesus for good, he was called to New Life Bible College in Atlanta, Ga. Upon graduation in 1984, Fred and his young family helped pioneer Living Word Worship Center, which is now Living Word Church in McDonough, Ga., where he and his wife, Ann, still serve under Pastor Larry Moss, a 1978 Graduate of Rhema Bible Training College.
It was in the early 1980's that Fred recieved from the Lord the desire to write books on faith in order to help people receive the things that are freely available from God. His first book was a small book entitled, Salvation Machanics, on how to maintain a life pleasing to Christ, which he pounded out on the keys of a old portable typewritter long before laptops were available.
Since then Fred has written several books that are listed on his website: fredfishburnebooks.com. He says the key to writing books is to stay in tune with the Holy Spirit through the word of God and the thoughts will come little by little until a book is created from within the heart and recorded for others to enjoy.
Fred quotes the last verse in the Gospel of John for his motivation to continue to write books.
John 21:25, Jesus did countless things that I haven’t included here. And if every one of his works were written down and described one by one, I suppose that the world itself wouldn’t have enough room to contain the books that would have to be written! (TPT)
He also encourages others to take the time to write books that glorify Jesus for His glorious works that He is still doing in the earth today.
